Tabloid - An informal type of newspaper - colourful and simple font - containing coloured pictures too. Targets the working class, soft news.

Broadsheet - A form of newspaper using black and white, a specific font that attracts an older audience's eye and striking headlines, with not much colour. Centres around political news and current affairs, hard news.

Hard news - Formal news, news more prevalent within broadsheet newspapers that revolves around more alarming news about significant events affecting our society and our world. Instant news.

Soft news - Informal news, news in tabloid newspapers - things like celebrity gossip and maybe positive news, much more about culture.

House style - A company's preferred manner of presentation and layout of written material. Always used across their same edition to be easily recognisable.
